Services
Individual Assessment
The first session will be an individual intake session with the parent or caregiver where the speech pathologist will discuss the concerns you have with your child’s communication skills.
The speech pathologist will obtain the clients medical and developmental history and target areas. Following this, the Speech Pathologist can complete an assessment of your child’s communication skills. This may be a formalised assessment or in the form of observations and informal assessments. This is determined by the Speech Pathologist based on the clients needs.
Feedback and recommendations based on the outcomes of the assessment will be provided.

Individual Therapy
Individual therapy sessions are 60 minutes. Specific goals will be set with the client and family/caregivers and are based on the outcome of the assessment. Evidence based techniques will be applied through activities and games to achieve the therapy goals. Parent/caregiver training and involvement is an integral component of the therapy sessions, it is required that the clients’ parent/caregiver remain in the sessions or have regular contact with the Speech Pathologist if sessions occur at school. Home practice activities and strategies will also be provided.
